What would we do without our wonderful volunteers?

We are all indebted to our volunteers. Such wonderful people willing to really get stuck in. And indeed they do.

Volunteers may come to us for various reasons - perhaps they are looking for company and new friends, a new challenge in life, or to develop their skills and build their confidence - no matter why they come what they bring with them is just as valuable to us and to the people we support. They bring their own experiences and personalities. And it is with these individual experiences and personalities that they help us reach out to more people who need our support. They will make a difference to somebody they have connected to in their work as a volunteer.

The Voluntary Sector Network section of the Guardian newspaper is keen to learn about these connections. They want to celebrate the little and the big successes that our volunteers have achieved. They want to hear about the day our volunteer(s) made a difference to an individuals life. They want to highlight that this work and share with the rest of the Voluntary Sector Network community.

So spread the word. Help your volunteers tell their story about the difference they made to that individual and, in doing so, give an example of the work your charity or social enterprise does too.

Volunteers tell your story - The day you made a difference!
