Full membership
This is for charitable and voluntary sector furniture re-use
organisations. This includes organisations that re-use, transport
or refurbish furniture or appliances for the benefit of people on low
incomes. Those receiving the items do not themselves have to be
on low incomes so long as any money raised is used to benefit such
people.
Full members have full voting rights at the FRN AGM and they
elect the Board of the FRN which is comprised exclusively of Full
members.
Full membership rates are based upon organisation turnover.
New Projects
This is free membership for a period up to one year for groups setting
up a re-use organisation or for organisations which have been
established for less than one year.
Associate Membership
This is for any other organisations which wish to support and promote
furniture and appliance re-use for the benefit of the community.
This can include local authorities, statutory organisations,
umbrella/infrastructure organisations, individuals, voluntary
organisations which do not fit have functions that fit with the Full
membership category or even private companies.
New Project members and Associate members do not have voting
rights within the FRN but they can benefit from all of the FRN services
at member rates. Non Voting co-optees to the Board can be
selected from all membership classes.
