Nu-life Furniture - Scrapyard Crazy Golf

To support Red Nose day, Nu Life Furniture have put on a scrapyard crazy golf event using second hand furniture to make the course. 

As the charity is part funded by Comic Relief and they have given Nu Life such great support, they wanted to give something back to the worthy cause.

The idea for a scrapuard crazy golf tournament came from Ben Hodge, Manager at Nu Life who attended a similar event, and thought the charity could do a better job with re-used furniture.

The event was a great success, despite the short notice, twenty people took part, raising £133.10 from ticket sales and a raffle.

Nu Life are looking to build on the positve response with another street event in the summer, which will focus on community cohesion as well as showcasing the charities garden furniture range made from upcycled furniture and reclaimed wood.

Ben Hodge expressed gratitude to those who gave their time to support the event: 

“Thank you to all those who attended our event, making it such a special day and supporting such a great cause. A special thanks goes out to our volunteers who helped design, build and test the course.” 

"There was a young chap that smashed the course getting two holes in one in the same round! It’s fair to say he’s lining up to be the next Tiger Woods, his Dad didn’t stand a chance."
