Furniture Re-use Network members Richmond Furniture Scheme has come up with the next big thing in the upcycling world - the Floordrobe!

Linda Robinson, a scheme manager at Richmond Furniture Scheme said she came up with the brilliant idea of the Floordrobe whilst having a small operation. Even Linda is surprised at her invention. We think it might be the positive affects of the medication used during her operation.

Linda explains how Joe Pisco, a driver at Richmond Furniture Scheme, built it.

"We used one tatty wardrobe..."                                "...then clad it with an old fencing panel."

"We built a pitched roof from bed slats..."             "...then added two decorative ceramic knobs                                                                                                                                                                                 reclaimed from an old chest of drawers."
