Telling your Story

Monday, 04 July 2016 11:54

Getting to know you. Getting to know all about you...

Recently we've been going on a lot about the importance of you telling your organisation's story, creating a case study on an individual you have helped, getting your message out there, letting your your communities know the impact you have and what you do. But we know it can be an arduous and time consuming task, especially when you don't have time. So when Andy from Doncaster Refurnish sent through this collection of photographs taken by their photographer Graeme Oxby, I thought it would be a fantastic example of story-telling to share.

Each photograph is of a member of their team - whether they are volunteers, trainees or full time members of staff, and each photograph pulls a very simple quote from that person. It is such a simple yet very effective way of building a picture of what Doncaster Refurnish does. Andy can now use these photographs around Doncaster Refurnish's shop, on their social media pages, website and more. It is attention grabbing, sucessfully highlights the impact they have on indivudal peoples lives and so so simple.

If you have any unique ways of telling your story, share them with me, Bex Jones at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
