Working with the UK network of Approved Re-use Centres

Do you have excess furniture, electricals and other household goods? The Furniture Re-use Network (FRN) offers a service to commercial partners that will reduce your waste disposal bills, your carbon footprint and improve your Corporate Social Responsibility rating

This is a national network of Approved Re-use Centres (ARC) and collection services for businesses discarding large quantities of product.

The ARCs operate quality assured product testing facilities, processes and reuse outlets, and take on the full product liability - consumer protection is central to our service.

UK Coverage

Our 60 centres across the UK have an excellent track record of working with a variety of public, private and commercial partners; from hotels, warehousing and transport companies to national retailers and manufacturers. Services to businesses discarding large or small quantities of product. Very little goes to waste.

Assured Value and Services

Reusing just one sofa can save you up to £30 in disposal costs, reduces your CO2 footprint by 50kg, and helps a low income household save over £300 – an Economic, Environmental and Social impact.

FRN can now give public and private sector partners’ assurance of services offered by a network of 60 Approved Re-use Centres across the UK. Reuse organisations need to pass a rigorous audit to meet the sector’s one and only certification register.

Audited and Approved Re-use Centres

When you see the above ARC standard at your local re-use centre, you can be sure that they offer a quality assured service to partners and customers. Our Reuse Certification and Registration system is the only one in the UK designed specifically for the quality assurance of reuse operators. It is based on ISO principles plus operational standards and compliance requirements specific to reuse operators. Our auditing and certification covers Management Systems for Quality, Environment and Health & Safety and follows best practice standards for compliance specific to the reuse of products. This is to ensure that the certified reusers have the competence, resources and management systems to ensure that they can supply a high quality service and product consistently to partners, suppliers and the final customer reusing the product.
